There are two things you might want. 'Remove all empty lines' deletes every blank line so your content becomes tightly packed — ideal for lists and data where you want one item per line with no gaps. 'Collapse multiple blanks into one' is gentler: it keeps single blank lines (the natural separators between paragraphs or sections) but reduces any run of two or more blank lines to just one, which fixes over-spaced text without flattening its structure. A toggle treats whitespace-only lines (lines containing just spaces or tabs) as empty too, since those invisible 'blank' lines are a common nuisance.
